About HLPPW Youth Football

Our football and cheer program feature a focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun and positive environment.  HLPPW has a number of seasoned coaches at all levels who have proven to be focused on enriching the experience of our young players and cheerleaders, which has lead to a highly satisfied parent-child experience.

All players will play and are matched based on age and size.  To those who have never given Pop Warner football a try, this is the year to give it a shot.

Football season starts in early August and runs until late November.  Games are played on Saturdays and practices are in typically during the weekday in the evenings.  After a preconditioning period in August, in which teams practice up to five nights a week, games start in early September and teams may practice up to three nights a week thereafter.

HLPPW Football Includes:

Tackle Football - for boys/girls aged 7-15 (see weight chart) includes approximately 8 regular season games plus bowl games or playoffs.

Flag Football - for boys/girls aged 5-6 (no weight limitations) includes approximately 8 games.  Flag football provides a competitive, yet less physical introduction to the fundamentals of football.  Practice begins in August 1st, with games starting in mid-September.

Cheerleading - for boys/girls aged 5-15 provides an opportunity to develop "spirit" skills in the context of a team environment.

All mandatory equipment and uniforms are provided by the association as part of the registration fees.  HLPPW is dedicated to ensuring that all equipment meets Federation safety standards.
